Role of a Teacher

A teacher is now a facilitator, technology integrator, mentor, record-keeper, and much more. With the new standards of accountabilty, some teachers are feeling that they are pushed to teach to the test. However, there are other teachers who feel standards provide an opportunity for them to create technology-intensive learning environment to address standards and have fun at the same time. How do we collaborate with teachers and support them in their teaching-learning process?

What is technology integration? What is not technology integration?

If I use a laptop and projection screen to show my PowerPoint presentation to my students, can this practice be called "Technology Integration?"
If I ask all students to take turn to come to the board and click the mouse for the correct answer, am I integrating technology in instruction? Will I be able to accept this practice as technology integration in a pre-K classroom where kids are learning to use the mouse?
